Rules & Regulations

Conquer at least 80% of the space held by The QIX. Move by using the arrow keys (or 8,4,6,2). To begin conquering space, first depress S (slow) or F (fast) and keep it down before trying to move out. Conquering space in slow mode will give higher score than using fast mode. Each percent conquered above 80% is extremely valuable!

Contact with any of the two monsters walking to border means death. The QIX may not touch the line you draw while conquering space. Then you'll die as well. If you hesitate while drawing - The Fuse will come after you. This is also lethal. If you're too slow on completing a stage, you will get to know the Speed Penalty.

All players completing the first stage are entitled to a place in the Hall of Fame. There may, however, be no more than three entries from the same machine (the lowest rank will be deleted when a fourth entry is added). From time to time, the Hall of Fame will be cleared up a bit, this is done by erasing entries from the bottom.

To play another game after Game Over, you must press reload. This is on purpose and not a bug!

The Score

OK, OK. The score seems to cause massive confusion. All digits scroll independently of each other, here's how it works: let's say your score is 54,840 and you gain another 7,580. This will raise your score to 62,420. ALL digits will start to scroll towards that score, and while they scroll you'll see this: 65,950; 66,060; 67,170; 68,280; 69,390; 60,400; 61,410; 62,420, causing you to believe that your score was 69,390 and that it was taken away from you...
